  1. My personal reaction to the book is sadness, a story about a families loss of a child makes you think about your own life, and how lucky we are sometimes.

  2. My reaction to this book is that it makes me sad. It's sad to think about children dying at such a young age and it make you feel grateful day by day for being alive.

  3. In the beginning of this book my reaction was of saddness due to Missy being killed and what Mack had to overcome with her death. Now my reaction to the book is of curiosity because when Mack goes back to the shack he meets God and God is a black woman. This initially took me by surprise but it makes sense that the book does not stereotype God.

  4. Overall, I feel as if the book was spose to remind you of your faith by kind of waking you up. I thought it was sad and not really that entertaining.

  5. Response to Ali's comment:
I also think this book wakes you up and shows that in a world where sin and lack of faith perdominates, there is still a God and he still cares about us. Contrary to Ali's opinion I think that althought this story was sad it was very interesting.
